South Temple Community Park is the home of the newest addition to Temple’s park system. The newly constructed disc golf course has been made possible with the joint efforts of the Temple Rotary club and Temple Parks and Leisure Services.

The course layout has been designed by John Houck., the two time Freestyle World Champion and winner five state titles. He has been inducted into the disc golf hall of fame for his achievements in the promotion of the sport of disc golf and for his work as a course designer.

In addition to the excellent design, the course offers a pleasant setting along a natural section of Fryers Creek. Upgrades will be made to the course in the coming months including the installation of a pedestrian bridge, final sealing and top coating to the parking area and enhanced tee surfaces. The 18-hole course consists of throw ranges in length of 200 to 600 feet and most holes are Par 3 or 4. Discs are available at your local sporting goods store ranging from beginner to professional styles.
